Katy ISD is hiring an Aide - SPED at FALDYN Elementary in Katy, Texas. The role reports to the Principal and supports students with disabilities under the supervision of teachers.

Requirements include completing college hours (Title I: 48) or a ParaPro score of 464, or college hours15/high school diploma with 464 ParaPro. A Paraprofessional Educational Aide II certificate and CPI certification are required after employment.

Qualifications

Requires 48 college hours for Title I campus or a ParaPro score of 464.
Non-Title I campus requires 15 college hours or a high school diploma/GED with 464 ParaPro.
Paraprofessional Educational Aide II certificate required once employed.
CPI certification required once employed.
Ability to communicate with students with disabilities and maintain confidential student records.

Responsibilities

Assist special education teachers in implementing instructional programs.
Collect data and maintain confidential student records and charts.
Assist with self-care of students including toileting, feeding, bathing.
Implement activities and behavior plans per IEP under supervision.
Prepare and duplicate instructional materials; maintain equipment.
