Job summary

Federal Way Public Schools seeks a paraeducator to support a student 1:1 under the supervision of a certified teacher or principal. The role includes assisting with daily instruction, implementing IEP goals, and collecting data to assess program effectiveness.

Responsibilities involve supporting transitions, behavior plans, and classroom routines while ensuring safety. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and meet one of the credential options (AA degree, 48 or 72 college

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• AA degree or 48 college credits or 72 college credits can substitute, or pass the ParaPro Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in care of medically fragile or behaviorally challenged student as directed and/or stated in IEP.
• Assist in daily instruction of the assigned student and other students.
• Assist with development, implementation and evaluation of IEP goals and objectives.
• Plan daily/weekly lessons based on IEP goals and objectives.
• Collect and maintain data to modify IEP and determine program effectiveness.
