Job summary

Kingman Unified School District #20 Kingman High School in Kingman, Arizona is seeking a Paraeducator IV/V to provide general classroom support and one-on-one assistance within a special education classroom under the supervision of a certified teacher.

The position involves assisting students with diverse needs per IEP guidelines, helping with assessments and classroom materials, and maintaining confidentiality and safety. This is a 9-month, 32-hour per week role with medical benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• AA degree, 60 college credits from an accredited university, or satisfactory results on an Arizona state-approved competency exam (ParaPro).
• Preferred: experience working with students or children.

Responsibilities

• Provide general classroom support or one-on-one assistance under a certified teacher.
• Instruct students or small groups to reinforce material.
• Assist with assessments, grading, and records under supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
• Support during emergencies, field trips, and daily activities.
