Job summary

Hualapai Elementary in Kingman, AZ is seeking a Paraeducator IV/V to support SPED classrooms. You will assist with instruction, behavior management, and daily care under the guidance of a special education teacher.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred AA degree or 60 credits. You may need First Aid/CPR and CPI training; background check and fingerprint clearance are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• AA degree, 60 college credits from an accredited university, or satisfactory results on an Arizona state‑approved competency exam (ParaPro).
• First Aid/CPR certification and/or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general classroom support or one-on-one assistance to a student.
• Instruct individual students or small groups under supervision of a teacher.
• Assist students with various physical, emotional and educational needs following I.E.P guidelines.
• Assist with assessments, grading papers and recording results under supervision of a certified teacher.
• Support with classroom materials, displays, and organization.
• Supervise students during drills, meals, field trips, and activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
