Job summary

The Washoe County School District is hiring a Paraeducator Assistant 3 for Vaughn Middle School. The role supports Special Education programs under ESP/Classified status, with a 35-hour week over 182 days.

Candidate must meet Highly Qualified standards, including 48 college hours or an associate degree, or ParaPathways/ParaPro qualifications. Salary ranges align with WCSD scale and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or recognized equivalent and meet Highly Qualified requirements.
• Must pass ParaPathways with reading/writing score ≥ 332 and math score ≥ 334, or
• ParaPro Assessment score ≥ 455.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff with classroom and related areas; prepare lesson outlines and plans.
• Plan, prepare and develop teaching aids; present material to students with various methods.
• Assist students individually or in groups with assignments; reinforce learning concepts.
