Washoe County School District in Reno, NV is seeking a Paraeducator Assistant III in a Special Education program at Mathews Elementary School. The role supports teaching staff with individual and small-group instruction, prepares lesson materials, tracks student progress, and assists with behavioral and instructional support within SPED classrooms.

The position requires completion of qualifying education (48 college hours or an associate degree, or ParaPathways/ParaPro scores) and a commitment

Formación

• Requires 48 sem hrs or 60 quarter hrs from an accredited college/university or an associate degree or higher.
• ParaPathways reading/writing score ≥ 332 and math score ≥ 334, or
• ParaPro assessment score ≥ 455.

Responsabilidades

• Assists teaching staff in classroom and related areas; prepares lesson outlines and plans; develops teaching aids and materials.
• Supports students individually or in small groups; administers and grades tasks; monitors progress and refers to the teacher as needed.
• Maintains classroom environment and equipment; supports SPED programs and schedules; assists with data collection and progress reporting.
