Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking an EL Paraeducator Assistant I at Vaughn Middle School. The role provides in-class support to English Learner students, helping with instructional materials and progress tracking.

You will collaborate with EL teachers and staff to reinforce language development and ensure equitable access to grade-level content. The position is 35 hours per week across 182 school days, with duties including modifying activities, assisting in small groups, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Requires completion of 48 semester hours or an associate's degree or higher, or passing scores for ParaPathways/ParaPro as described.
• Qualified applicants must meet the EL program requirements and be able to provide instructional support.
• Knowledge of English language instruction and classroom materials is essential.

Responsibilities

• Adapt activities and materials to support language development for EL students.
• Assist students individually or in small groups during lessons.
