Job summary

The Alpine School District seeks an Instructional Paraprofessional - Elementary to support classroom instruction for students with special needs in the resource room. You will assist with supervising, care, and instruction under the guidance of the teacher, and help implement IEP/504 plans.

Hours are 5.5 per day with lane-based pay; this is a non-contract, no benefits position with opportunities to participate in in-district training to qualify for lane movement. Starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• Age 16+.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Adapts activities and materials to support classroom objectives and IEP goals.
• Assists in supervising and caring for students with special needs.
• Assists with data collection and monitoring student progress.
• Performs clerical duties to support classroom operations.
• Provides instruction to students under teacher supervision to reinforce concepts.
• Communicates with instructional staff to evaluate progress and implement IEP/504 plans.
• Monitors safety and behavior to maintain a positive learning environment.
