Job summary

Mesa Public Schools in Mesa, AZ is seeking a paraeducator to assist under direct supervision of certified teachers and specialists. Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 60 college credit hours required at time of hire or pass the ParaPro Test provided by the district free of charge
• Previous experience and record of effectiveness in similar roles

Responsibilities

• Deliver, under teacher’s direction, classroom work/homework and reinforce objectives
• Assist in development of instructional materials and maintenance of classroom
• Assist in data collection on academic and behavior goals
• Implement behavior intervention plans for students with challenging behaviors
• Respond to problem behaviors according to the student’s plan and policy
• Perform general clerical tasks to support teacher and maintain student files
