Job summary

Mesa Public Schools in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Paraprofessional to assist, under the direct supervision of certified teachers and specialists, in monitoring and instructing students with IEPs. You will help students perform academic tasks, daily living activities, and health care tasks while relieving teachers of routine clerical duties.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 60 college credit hours required at time of hire or pass the ParaPro Test provided by the district free of charge.
• Previous experience in similar roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom work under teacher direction and reinforce objectives.
• Assist in development of instructional materials and maintenance of classroom.
• Assist in data collection on academic and behavior goals.
• Implement behavior intervention plans and manage challenging behaviors.
• Support daily living and health care activities for students.
• Perform clerical tasks and attend meetings.
