Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60 college credits required at hire or pass the ParaPro Test.

Responsibilities

• Deliver under teacher direction classroom work/homework and reinforce objectives; provide 1:1 or small group instruction aligned to IEP goals.
• Assist in developing instructional materials and maintaining the classroom.
• Collect and monitor data related to academic and behavioral goals; use district tools.
• Assist in modifying curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
• Implement positive behavior intervention plans for students with challenging behaviors.
• Monitor and respond to problem behaviors per IEP and district crisis policy.
• Assist with health-related activities and transitions across campus.
• Perform general clerical tasks to support teachers and maintain student files.
• Participate in meetings and professional development to improve skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with SPED team to meet student IEP goals; maintain regular attendance.
