Job summary

Mesa Public Schools in the United States is seeking a part-time Educational Assistant to support certified teachers and specialists in implementing IEPs for students with disabilities. Under direct supervision, you will assist with academic tasks, daily living activities, and health care tasks while maintaining safety and classroom routines.

You will help deliver instruction, prepare materials, monitor data on goals, adapt curriculum to individual needs, and support behavior plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in similar roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and reinforce classroom objectives for students with IEP goals.
• Assist in developing instructional materials and maintaining the classroom.
• Collect and monitor data on academic and behavioral goals using district tools.
• Modify curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
• Implement behavior support plans and manage transitions.
• Monitor and respond to problem behaviors per plans.
• Assist with health care activities and personal hygiene support.
• Support students during transitions across campus.
• Perform general clerical tasks and Medicaid billing training.
