Job summary

Aspire Public Schools in California is seeking a dedicated Instructional Aide for a part-time position (~28 hours per week) to support students with IEPs under the supervision of the Special Education teacher and related staff.

The role involves implementing IEP accommodations, assisting with health-related needs, data collection, collaboration with IEP team, and promoting Aspire's equity beliefs.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 48 units completed or Paraprofessional Test
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Teaching, or related field preferred
• 1+ year experience working with students in special education or urban educational settings

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group supports to students under supervision of the Special Education teacher
• Implement IEPs with fidelity in classroom and assist with health-related needs
• Track progress per IEP benchmarks and input data for students
• Create instructional materials accommodated/modified for individual students
• Collaborate with IEP team (GE teacher, Education Specialist, SLP, Instructional Aides, Administrators)
• Support Behavior Intervention Plans and Crisis Prevention Intervention as needed
• Uphold Aspire's mission, values, confidentiality, and ethical standards
