Job summary

Aspire Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide to provide high-quality, personalized education per IEPs under the direction of the Special Education Teacher, General Education teacher, and Speech & Language Pathologist. The role supports students individually or in groups while upholding Aspire’s values.

Responsibilities include direct student services, 1:1 IEP implementation, data collection, and collaboration with IEP team members to ensure effective instructional interventions.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational level: Associate’s degree or 48 college units, or passing Paraprofessional Test.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Teaching, or related field preferred.
• Experience: 1+ year in special education or urban educational settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide services, supports and interventions directly to students under supervision of the Special Education teacher.
• Assist with implementing IEPs, including 1:1 support and health-related needs under nurse supervision.
• Support students with behavior plans and data collection per IEP goals.
• Collaborate with IEP team members to ensure fidelity of interventions.
• Assist with instruction materials customized for individualized students.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold Aspire’s mission and values.
