Aspire Public Schools is hiring an Instructional Aide at Tate Academy in Los Angeles for the 26-27 school year. This full-time role (35 hours/week) provides high-quality, personalized education per IEPs under supervision of teachers and SLP/other staff.

The position involves 1:1 and small-group support, implementing IEPs, health-related assistance, behavior plans, data tracking, and collaboration with the IEP team to help students succeed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 48 college units or passing paraprofessional test.
• Bachelor's degree in Education preferred.
• At least 1 year working with students in special education.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group supports under supervision of teachers.
• Implement the IEP with fidelity, including health-related needs.
• Implement and progress monitor behavior intervention plans per IDEA.
• Assist Special Education teachers with IEPs in the school setting.
• Track progress toward IEP goals and input data for students.
• Create instructional materials modified for individual students.
• Collaborate with IEP team members and other service providers.
• Support students with Behavior Supports and Services and de-escalation when needed.
• Uphold Aspire Public Schools mission, values, and confidentiality.
