Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60 college credits with coursework in mental retardation and severe disabilities.
• Valid ISBE paraprofessional license at time of employment.
• Ability to assist students with disabilities and follow IEP guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education teachers in elementary and high schools.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring and personal hygiene support as directed.
• Help students with daily living skills and safety in classrooms and on field trips.
