Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; strong data entry skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
• 2 years’ experience as a lab assistant, specimen processor, or relevant experience in a lab is preferred

Responsibilities

• Receive and process specimens with proper identification and collection requirements.
• Label specimens accurately and distribute to the appropriate testing area.
• Perform clerical and administrative duties.
• Organize and monitor lab supplies and inventory levels.
• Communicate specimen non-conformities to staff and leadership.
• Maintain clean workspace and lab equipment; follow safety procedures.
