Job summary

MidAtlantic Women's Care Laboratory is seeking a Specimen Processor - Accessioning to support molecular testing workflow. You will receive, label, and route specimens, ensure proper containers and patient identification, and assist with clerical tasks.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, experience in data entry, and familiarity with medical terminology; 2 years in a lab is preferred. This role requires careful attention to accuracy and compliance with safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong data entry skills and familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
• Two years of lab experience as a lab assistant or specimen processor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process specimens according to testing requirements and ensure proper patient identification.
• Label specimens accurately and route them to the appropriate testing area.
• Perform clerical and administrative duties.
• Monitor and organize lab supplies under leadership guidance.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow health and safety regulations.
• Assist other lab staff and leadership as needed.
