Job summary

Veracyte in San Diego is seeking a Specimen Processor I to receive and accession specimens, and to enter requisition data into the LIS while keeping the lab clean and organized. This role supports specimen integrity and team collaboration in a busy laboratory environment.

You will work Monday through Saturday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with opportunities for training and growth as you assist senior staff and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with LIS and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
• 0-2 years accessioning experience preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Accessioning clinical specimens upon receipt and entering data into LIS system.
• Specimen verification, labeling, tracking, and related clerical functions.
• Identify and communicate processing problems to supervisor.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and compliance with procedures.
• Support in training, meetings, and regulatory compliance activities.
