Job summary

Eurofins Viracor LLC in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Laboratory Specimen Processor to perform accessioning, data entry, and sample handling with high accuracy. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, proficiency with LIMS, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and familiarity with SOPs, while data entry experience and strong organizational skills will be highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Specimen processing experience in a clinical lab preferred.
• Must be comfortable handling raw specimens.
• Typing test: minimum 30 words per minute.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs/policies.
• Evening and weekend hours may be required.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• One year data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accessioning and data entry using LIMS or similar system.
• Examine samples for accuracy (type, stability, volume).
• Label samples for delivery to appropriate areas.
• Handle and store samples (e.g., dry ice) as required.
• Resolve patient demographic issues or discrepancies.
• Process correction requests and maintain QA records.
• Adhere to safety, quality policies and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with lab staff to complete daily tasks.
• Maintain laboratory databases and provide admin support.
• Represent department professionally and uphold company standards.
