Veracyte, Inc. in San Diego is seeking a meticulous Specimen Processor to accession specimens, document requisitions, and keep the lab orderly.
You will support daily operations, assist in SOP training, and help ensure quality patient care while maintaining schedule flexibility in a dynamic lab setting.
Strong LIS and MS Office skills, 4–5 years accessioning experience, and a bachelor’s degree (preferred) will distinguish candidates; teamwork and initiative are highly valued.

Primarily responsible for receiving and accessioning specimens, handling specimen documentation, and data entry of requisitions. Also responsible for keeping the lab clean and orderly.
Lead Specimen Processors are knowledgeable in sample integrity issues and serve as a resource to others in the lab. They maintain flexibility with work schedules, including daily assignments, holiday schedules, and days of the week as determined by business needs.
The person in this position must coordinate integral daily tasks, ensuring that Specimen Processor personnel perform their duties while maintaining schedule flexibility to meet quality patient care.
For candidates based in our San Diego office, the hourly range is $29.00–$33.00. The final salary offered will depend on factors such as experience, skill set, geographic location, education, etc. Base pay is part of the total compensation package and may include bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
