Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated individual to join the Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in San Diego, CA. The 3rd shift starts as late as 7pm and hours may vary with business needs. Responsibilities include preparing, unpacking, labeling, and shipping specimens, and data entry of patient information.

Minimum qualification is a High School Diploma or GED. The role requires comfort with handling specimens and the ability to work in a team with strong data-entry and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and working in a lab setting.
• Ability to perform data entry accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in a timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
