Carpenter Technology Corporation is a leading producer of premium specialty alloys with a focus on materials specifications and quality control. The role entails reviewing complex specifications, validating production capabilities, and coordinating changes across departments to maintain compliance with AS9100, ISO, and ASTM standards.

The candidate should have a technical college degree (two or four years) with at least four years in technical documentation review, plus metals testing

Qualifications

• Two or four-year technical college degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Minimum four years' experience in technical documentation review.
• Preferred three or more years' experience in metals testing environment (chemistry, mechanical, magnetic, NDT, metallographic).

Responsabilités

• Review new and revised specifications to identify required material and quality characteristics.
• Validate Carpenter's capacity to produce material meeting all stipulations.
• Draft and issue exception letters documenting proposed alternative requirements.
• Input or abstract specification requirements into Carpenter’s electronic database.
• Coordinate proposed specification changes across departments.
• Ensure industry specifications and standards are maintained to latest revision.
• Engage with external customers, suppliers and third-party audits related to certifications.
