Responsibilities

  • Prepare, prime, and paint interior and exterior surfaces throughout the resort.
  • Paint and maintain guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, restaurants, back-of-house areas, and resort facilities.
  • Perform drywall repairs including patching, taping, sanding, texturing, and finishing.
  • Apply stains, varnishes, lacquers, sealants, and other specialty finishes as required.
  • Perform detailed paint touch-ups and finish work to maintain resort appearance standards.
  • Properly prepare surfaces before painting to ensure a high-quality and durable finished product.
  • Protect furniture, flooring, fixtures, and surrounding areas during painting and repair projects.
  • Communicate with Engineering leadership regarding project timelines, materials, equipment, and maintenance needs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area throughout each project.
  • Follow all resort safety procedures, including proper use of PPE, tools, equipment, and chemical products.

This role is responsible for maintaining and improving the appearance of resort buildings and facilities through professional painting, staining, drywall repair, finishing, and surface preparation. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality craftsmanship, has a strong eye for detail, and can work independently while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

What You’ll Do

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous painter, commercial painter, residential painter, maintenance technician, facilities maintenance, or building maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience with interior and exterior painting and surface preparation.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, climb, and work from ladders for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work overhead for extended periods while painting and performing repairs.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including respiratory protection when necessary.

Work Environment

  • Resort-wide engineering and facilities environment.
  • Work performed throughout guest rooms, public spaces, meeting rooms, restaurants, maintenance areas, and outdoor facilities.
  • Exposure to paint, stains, solvents, cleaning products, dust, fumes, and other maintenance materials.
  • Work may include ladders, elevated surfaces, and areas requiring additional safety precautions.
  • Fast-paced hospitality environment where projects may need to be completed around guest and resort operations.
