Job summary

Lake Lawn Resort is seeking a skilled Specialty Technician - Painter to join our Engineering and Facilities team in Delavan, Wisconsin. The role focuses on interior and exterior painting, surface preparation, and drywall repairs across guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and restaurants.

The ideal candidate has experience in commercial or residential painting, strong attention to detail, and can work independently while maintaining a safe, organized work area.

Qualifications

• Experience with interior and exterior painting and surface preparation.
• Knowledge of drywall repair, patching, sanding, texturing, and finishing techniques.
• Experience with stains, varnishes, lacquers, and specialty coatings preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and painting equipment.
• Basic general maintenance and carpentry skills preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and properly handle paints, chemicals, and other materials.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, prime, and paint interior and exterior surfaces throughout the resort.
• Paint and maintain guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, restaurants, back-of-house areas, and resort facilities.
• Perform drywall repairs including patching, taping, sanding, texturing, and finishing.
• Apply stains, varnishes, lacquers, sealants, and other specialty finishes as required.
• Perform detailed paint touch-ups and finish work to maintain resort appearance standards.
• Properly prepare surfaces before painting to ensure a high-quality and durable finished product.
• Protect furniture, flooring, fixtures, and surrounding areas during painting and repair projects.
• Communicate with Engineering leadership regarding project timelines, materials, equipment, and maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area throughout each project.
• Follow all resort safety procedures, including proper use of PPE, tools, equipment, and chemical products.
