Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to meet Surgical Technologist I competencies.
• Familiarity with and adept with all types of procedures within their specialty.
• Proficient in all types of surgical procedures and maintains knowledge of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures and maintains advanced knowledge or specialty area as applicable.
• Sets up and operates equipment per physician specifications; maintains sterile field.
• Precepts Surgical Technologists I and assists in instrument room maintenance.
• Ensures infection control and reports equipment or supply problems.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties as needed.
