Job summary

Amgen is seeking a District Sales Manager to serve as the liaison to medical professionals across assigned districts, delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen products.

In this role you will collaborate cross-functionally with district teams, regional sales directors, and corporate account managers, driving sales performance and ensuring compliant operations while building relationships with local Opinion Leaders.

Qualifications

• Doctorate/Master's with 6+ years in Sales/Marketing, or relevant combinations.
• 2 years of managerial experience leading teams.
• Experience in pharma or biologics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track the progress of marketing messages and programs.
• Provide feedback to district teams on marketing, allocation, and resources.
• Manage district teams to maximize performance and hit sales targets.
• Screen, interview, and hire candidates.
• Ensure training compliance and ongoing development.
• Conduct performance reviews and competency assessments.
• Coordinate with district and cross-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, other BUs).
• Lead district sales meetings and develop local Opinion Leader relationships.
