Amgen in San Francisco seeks a District Sales Manager to serve as the liaison to medical professionals, delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen medicines and advancing patient care in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

The role emphasizes leadership of district teams, collaboration with Marketing and Finance, talent development, and building local Opinion Leader relationships to meet sales and budget targets.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• OR Master’s degree and 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• OR Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• AND 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers by providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with District Sales Managers, Regional Sales Directors and Corporate Account Managers.
• Lead and develop district teams to achieve sales targets and budgeting goals.
• Screen, interview, and hire candidates for district roles.
• Coordinate and participate in district sales meetings and local Opinion Leader relationships.
