Job summary

Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for the Proprium Specialty Pharmacy in Chesapeake, VA. The role is full-time, day shift, with occasional Saturdays and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

The technician performs dispensing under supervision, maintains supplies, and uses Epic/Omnicell systems. Requirements include Virginia Pharmacy Tech License, High School Diploma or equivalent, and preferred 1 year of pharmacy experience.

• Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required).
• CPhT License (Preferred).
• 1 Year Pharmacy Experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner.
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care.
• Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed.
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information.
• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements.
• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately.
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
