UT Southwestern Specialty Pharmacy in Dallas is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support patients with complex therapies. You will assist with prescription processing, prior authorizations, copay assistance, and inventory management under supervision.

The role includes high‑touch patient interactions and ensuring accurate delivery or pickup of medications. The position emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory requirements, with benefits and career growth

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience as retail pharmacy technician or equivalent required.
• PHARMACY INTERN Registration with Texas State Board and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in reviewing, processing, preparing, filling, labeling and dispensing medications as allowed by law.
• Answer phones and communicate with customers clearly and professionally.
• Provide patients with instructions, side effects and medication information.
• Schedule patient consultations with the pharmacist as needed.
• Maintain temperature logs and clean equipment per policy.
• Monitor inventory for out-of-date products and coordinate removal.
• Process orders and ensure items shipped match invoiced items.
• Support insurance processing and outreach to resolve claims and obtain patient data.
