Job summary

Banner Health in Scottsdale, Arizona is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Specialty Pharmacy team with preparation, compounding and dispensing of medications for patients. You will assist with claims processing, inventory, and reporting to maintain accreditations, while coordinating with pharmacists and fulfillment staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role requires pharmacy licensure or intern licensure in the state and at least one year of experience, with on-the-job

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician licensure and active certification or intern licensure in state.
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Ability to complete 160 hours of on-the-job training.
• Strong customer service focus and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform moderate to difficult math calculations with a handheld calculator.

Responsibilities

• Enroll selected patients in specialty pharmacy services and input data into Specialty Pharmacy software.
• Work in a call center to address patient questions and financial barriers to treatment.
• Provide adherence management and support to patients.
• Maintain records for accreditation, licensure, payer contracts, and REMS programs.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives across specialty pharmacy services.
• Collaborate with specialty pharmacists and Fulfillment Center teams for a positive patient experience.
• Prepare, dispense, and deliver medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Follow policies and regulatory requirements and perform other tasks.
