Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Specialty Pharmacy Technician to support direct patient care in outpatient specialty settings. The role includes data entry, dispensing, insurance billing and POS operations under pharmacist supervision.

Responsibilities include enrolling patients, assisting with claims, inventory and reporting to maintain URAC accreditation and ensure an excellent patient experience. 40 hours/week, Day shift, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure.
• Minimum of one year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Ability to attend and complete 160 hours of on-the-job training.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, compounding and dispensing of medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Handle data entry, insurance billing and order processing for specialty medications.
• Enroll selected patients in specialty pharmacy services and communicate with patients.
• Support claims processing, inventory management and reporting for URAC Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation.
