Job summary

Amber Specialty Pharmacy is hiring a Dedicated Patient Care Specialist to support patient programs within the Operations department. The role focuses on phone-based customer service, enrollment, and coordination between patients, pharmacists, and insurers.

The position requires healthcare industry knowledge and at least six months of patient care experience, with a high school diploma or equivalent. It is a Monday–Friday day shift with a standard office environment.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of Patient Care Specialist experience.
• Working knowledge of the healthcare industry.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound patient calls and prescription refill reminders.
• Facilitate patient-to-pharmacist consultations and enrollment functions.
• Enter data into tracking software and coordinate with clinical staff.
• Communicate with patients, providers, and insurers via phone, fax, and email.
• Schedule medication deliveries and inform patients of copayment responsibilities.
