Job summary

Amber Specialty Pharmacy in Omaha, NE is seeking a Dedicated Patient Care Specialist in the Operations department. This non-exempt, full-time role handles inbound/outbound patient calls, enrollment tasks, and coordination with providers and pharmacists to support patient programs. You will maintain accurate records, schedule deliveries, and respond to inquiries with a focus on accuracy and service quality.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of the healthcare industry.
• Six months or more of Patient Care Specialist experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Explain company programs and services to patients and provider staff.
• Act as liaison between patients, insurance, Pharma, and providers via phone, fax and email.
• Contact patients for onboarding calls, schedule deliveries, and inform them of copayment responsibilities.
• Enter data into tracking software and route calls to clinical staff as needed.
• Provide timely responses to patient inquiries by phone or email.
• Maintain documentation of calls with patients, insurers, and providers.
