Qualifications

• Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsibilities

• Answers, screens and processes a high volume of calls in a professional manner.
• Uses phone scripts and guidelines for triaging calls; determines type of appointment, provider and urgency.
• Schedules prescription refills and updates patient demographics; obtains referrals as needed.
• Records messages and triages urgent information to appropriate staff; responds to inquiries within scope.
• Acts as liaison with medical center departments and external providers.
