Job summary

Amgen in the United States is seeking a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative to serve medical professionals, promote Amgen products, and guide customers through payer workflows. You will be the primary touchpoint in your territory, delivering branded messages and coordinating programs.

The role emphasizes building relationships, communicating product value, ensuring access, and meeting sales targets with guidance from the District Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree OR
• Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR
• High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience
• Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related OR High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
• Preferred Qualifications include sales, marketing and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, healthcare medical device or medical supply industries; 3+ years for Senior Specialty Representative

Responsibilities

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products to medical professionals
• Communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization
• Deliver branded sales messages and participate in educational programs
• Achieve or exceed sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement
• Develop territory plans with the District Manager
• Build relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access and resolving reimbursement issues
• Share feedback on marketing strategy and analyze sales activity effectiveness
