Job summary
Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor to provide safe, compliant pharmacy services for home care patients. The role coordinates with nursing, delivery, and reimbursement teams and oversees drug purchasing, compounding, and regulatory compliance.
Ideal candidates graduate from an accredited pharmacy program, hold an active license, and have 3–5 years in infusion/pharmacy settings. The position involves supervisory duties and on‑call responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Current, active Pharmacy license.
- Experience in clean room or infusion pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Delivers and manages appropriate patient care.
- Assesses patients' suitability for home care.
- Directs daily activities of the pharmacy department to meet patient needs.
- Monitors state and federal regulatory requirements for an alternate site pharmacy.
- Trains staff on computers and admixture devices while safeguarding confidentiality.
- Oversees purchasing and security of medications and supplies.
- Designs patient-specific pharmacy care plans and updates them as needed.
- Participates in on-call responsibilities of the pharmacy department.
