Job summary

Option Care is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor to lead the home care pharmacy department, ensuring safe and compliant pharmaceutical services for patients. You will coordinate with nursing, delivery and reimbursement teams and oversee licensure and security of drugs and supplies.

The role requires a licensed pharmacist with experience in infusion/home care settings, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage staff, training, and patient-specific care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Current, active Pharmacy license as granted by the State Board of Pharmacy.
• 3–5 years of experience in a clean room or infusion pharmacy setting OR 2 years with qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and manages appropriate patient care.
• Determines suitability of patients for home care.
• Assesses patients' suitability for home care in accordance with Option Care policies.
• Directs the daily activities of the pharmacy department to prioritize pharmaceutical care.
• Oversees compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements for an alternate site pharmacy.
• Acts as the pharmacist in charge where required.
• Ensures licensure requirements are current and valid.
• Provides staff training on computers and admixture devices while safeguarding confidentiality.
• Supports sales and management with knowledge of services and education for managed care organizations.
• Oversees purchasing, management and security of medications and supplies.
• Designs and monitors patient-specific pharmacy care plans for home care patients.
• Monitors data to adjust care plans and evaluate outcomes.
• Calibrates equipment and provides in-service education to physicians and nurses.
