Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is seeking an Account Manager - Specialty Gas for the Oakland/Concord/Fremont area. This outside sales role advances specialty gas products to existing and prospective customers.

You will support growth through direct outreach, collaborate with Account Managers, provide technical guidance, and develop market strategies to meet regional goals.

Airgas offers comprehensive benefits, a 90k–105k base with 20% bonus, plus a car allowance and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Science, Engineering or related field.
• Experience with a consultative sales approach delivering multiple layers of value to a customer.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; proficient PC skills and adaptability to order-entry systems.

Responsibilities

• Advance specialty gas sales within the regional community through key growth markets.
• Develop and execute a strategy to realize growth opportunities; support Account Managers to expand sales.
• Nurture partnerships with Account Managers and District Managers; provide technical support and training.
• Establish market data collection processes for sales trends and competitor activity.
• Promote Airgas initiatives using sales literature and meet regional growth goals.
• Utilize Salesforce and Google Suite; generate and execute customer contracts.
• Handle emails and calls promptly; participate in special projects as needed.
