Job Title: Commercial / Specialty Casualty Claims Adjuster

Your role :

As a Commercial / Specialty Casualty Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for resolving all aspects of 1st and 3rd party injury claims of low to moderate complexity, covering personal lines and commercial claims. This role requires licensing in multiple states as you will handle claims across various regions.

• Manage claims efficiently to reach appropriate resolutions with minimal supervision.
• Handle liability injury claims, including coverage, liability, and damages concerns.
• Manage 1st party exposures such as Medical Payment, PIP, Uninsured Motorists, Under-insured Motorists, and ADB claims.
• Assist with first notice of loss calls and participate in the department phone queue as needed.
• Conduct coverage investigations and advise customers on coverage issues.
• Make liability determinations based on evidence.
• Evaluate subrogation potential and initiate notices accordingly.
• Develop negotiation strategies to resolve claims effectively.
• Communicate case facts to supervisors or committees when appropriate.

Required experience, education, and skills :

• At least 2 years of Casualty claims experience.
• BA/BS in business, insurance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain multiple state-specific Adjuster’s Licenses within the first 90 days.

Preferred qualities and skills :

• Experience with commercial policies.
• Flexibility to work various shifts within operating hours (5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. in your time zone), including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to train and perform remotely.
• Excellent interpersonal and computer navigation skills.
• Multitasking ability.
