Job Description

S&S Transportation & Sharing Economy seeks a Claims Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage TPA handling of claims related to Bodily Injury, PIP, Med Pay, and Uninsured/Under Insured Motorist exposures within the GIG Economy space. The position requires initiative, leadership, and critical thinking skills, operating under appropriate supervision and within established authority. You will report to the assigned Manager.

This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Review assigned claims to determine coverage applicability, review, edit, and approve coverage letters independently or with legal counsel guidance under established authority.
  2. Participate in policy renewal discussions to ensure appropriate exposure management.
  3. Monitor claims to ensure reserves are adequate, investigations are timely, and files are handled properly by TPA.
  4. Provide feedback and guidance on claims based on individual and trend analyses, communicating with the manager.
  5. Evaluate account performance monthly, providing updates on trends and status to senior management.
  6. Meet with current and prospective clients to discuss C&F's claims capabilities and specific needs.
  7. Deliver superior customer service to agents, insureds, and others involved in the claims process.
  8. Knowledge of contractual indemnity and additional insured risk transfer opportunities is preferred.
Qualifications:
  1. At least two years of experience handling bodily injury claims.
  2. College degree preferred; insurance-related certifications or courses are a plus.
  3. Required state licenses must be obtained and maintained.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  6. Willingness to travel occasionally.
  7. Knowledge of contractual indemnity and risk transfer opportunities is preferred.
