Monroe High School in Monroe, Washington is seeking a Paraeducator for the Structured Learning Center. The role provides instructional support to students with diverse needs, under supervision of the building principal and instructional staff.

Starts immediately with a 180-day school year and a 6.5-hour day. Applicants must meet ESSA requirements, have a high school diploma or higher, and hold or pursue related education/certifications including First Aid/CPR/AED.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Possess AA or higher degree, or 72 college credits, or approved apprenticeship, or PESB-approved test.
• First Aid, CPR and AED certification required; CPI certification may be required for some positions.
• Meet ESSA criteria for paraeducator qualifications and clearances.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional personnel with delivery of learning materials and instruction.
• Support students with a wide range of abilities in inclusive settings.
• Tutor individuals or small groups to reinforce learning activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow district policies and procedures.
• Attend to basic care needs and support safety during activities.
