Job summary

Monroe School District Chain Lake Elementary in Snohomish, WA is seeking a Paraeducator for a 1:1 specialized instruction role. This temporary position runs 6.5 hours daily, 8:35–3:35, with a structured learning classroom assignment and PTO as described in the posting.

Applicants must meet ESSA criteria and hold a high school diploma or higher, or equivalent combination such as AA degree or 72 credits; additional certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of paid or volunteer experience working with multi-age groups of children
• First Aid, CPR and AED certification
• CPI certification for selected positions
• Satisfactory background checks and clearances

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional personnel with presentation of learning materials and in delivery of instructional programs
• Tutor individual students and small groups to reinforce learning activities
• Monitor and assist students in drill, practice, and study activities
• Support students with varying abilities and needs in a structured classroom setting
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
