Job summary

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Have an AA or higher degree or 72 college credits or completed apprenticeship or passing PESB assessment.
• First Aid, CPR and AED certification.
• CP I-certification for PBS/SLC/1:1 positions and related requirements.
• Meet ESSA requirements for paraeducator positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional personnel with presentation of learning materials and instructional programs.
• Work with students with diverse needs including those with disabilities and IEP goals.
• Tutor individual students and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Monitor and assist in drill, practice, and study activities per program.
• De-escalate students per district protocol and support transitions.
