Tulsa Public Schools is seeking a Specially Designed Instructional Coordinator to guide educators in implementing evidence-based strategies for students with disabilities.

The role emphasizes coaching, mentoring, and aligning instruction with IEPs, district goals, and data-driven improvement. Ideal candidates have a strong background in special education and district-wide professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field is required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Three (3) years of experience in special education, including implementation of specially designed instruction.
• Proven experience in mentoring, coaching, or providing professional development.
• Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate in Special Education (required at hire).
• Familiarity with federal and state special education laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and mentors teachers in implementing specially designed instruction.
• Develops and delivers professional development for teachers and support staff.
• Monitors the fidelity of specially designed instruction implementation across the district.
• Supports alignment of instruction with IEPs and district goals.
• Analyzes student performance data to guide instructional coaching and targeted support.
