Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a customer-focused professional to serve as the main point of contact for key accounts in our Fort Mill, SC operations. You will manage inquiries, process orders, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in industrial product distribution or manufacturing, strong communication skills, and proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Three (3) years Customer Service experience in an industrial product distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry and supply chain processes is a plus
  • Proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint), with the ability to read and analyze reports
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Process orders from key accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Coordinate with leadership, demand processing, pricing, production, logistics, transportation, sales, and other departments to fulfill customer requirements
  • Provide regular updates to key accounts regarding order status, product availability, and any changes that may affect their orders
  • Identify and resolve potential issues, working with internal teams to develop solutions that meet customer needs
  • Prepare and present regular reports on key account activities, performance metrics, and customer feedback to management
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement in products, services, and processes
  • Develop an understanding of key accounts' businesses, their expectations, needs, and how our products and services can best support their goals
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with key accounts, including inquiries, orders, and resolutions, using various systems and software applications

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic product nomenclature to support effective communication and accurate customer service.
Your Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Associate degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Three (3) years Customer Service experience in an industrial product distribution or manufacturing environment

  • Five (5) or more years Customer Service experience in an industrial product distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in SAP ERP software
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Service Console software
