Job summary

ICU Medical in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a warehouse associate to support shipping operations. You will pick, prepare, palletize finished goods, operate forklift, and assist in daily shipping goals, with overtime as needed.

  • Cross-check items for 100% accuracy and use carrier systems/tools to ship product.
  • Audit international shipping documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Work independently and communicate effectively with management on key issues.

Job description

  • Work in a team-oriented environment by picking, preparing, and palletizing finished goods for shipment – working overtime as needed to accomplish the daily/weekly shipping goals.
  • Operate forklift or other equipment as required in the movement of material within the distribution center. Complete a daily vehicle inspection report prior to operating any equipment. Responsible for the proper charging of the vehicles after use. Performing light maintenance duties as required (i.e. watering battery properly).
  • Follows and understands all company and job specific procedures.
  • Meets all facility standards applied within select departments.
  • Will pick and stack product according to procedure and special instructions.
  • Cross-checking as needed to 100% accuracy.
  • Pick, check, over pack, consolidate, and process parcel cases as necessary.
  • Follow all safety instructions to properly load / unload trailers according to procedure.
  • Verify accuracy of shipments received, determine locations for products, and put product into available locations.
  • Process returns and ensure that each returned case is properly inspected, stocked, and appropriate paperwork for customer credit is completed. Accuracy, attention to detail, and neatness is expected.
  • Use appropriate carrier systems and tools to ship product
  • Ensure warehouse documentation is sorted and ready for filing at end of the day
  • Audit international shipping documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Work independently and proactively. Clearly communicate with management and department personnel on key issues regarding returns processing.
  • Adhere to all good manufacturing practices, Food and Drug guidelines and Drug Enforcement Laws.
  • Work in teams as designated. (i.e. Safety, 5S, Lean, etc)
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Must have good verbal and written skills
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Current forklift certification is required; stand‑up forklift preferred
  • Motorized (electric) pallet jack certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
  • Minimum +1 years warehousing experience
  • Oracle experience preferred

Travel Requirements
  • Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
  • Must be able to work safely around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
