Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking an Accounts Payable specialist to prepare and maintain accurate accounts payable records. You will ensure vendor payments are processed according to policy and develop skills in the Accounts Payable IS System.

The ideal candidate has experience handling a large volume of paperwork, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Excel and Word. A minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a similar system is required.

Qualifications

Prepares and maintains accurate accounts payable records using established policies and procedures to properly reflect operating results and financial position. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Ensures vendor payments are processed within the department's policy & procedure guidelines.
• Develops skills in using and drilling around in the Accounts Payable IS System module.
• Analyzes accounts payable reports and statements in a timely manner.
• Completes assigned goals.

Experience

• Experience in Accounts Payable with ability to handle a large volume of paperwork & solid data entry skills.
• 1 year experience with Accounts Payable system or similar AP system

Education

• Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.

Special Skills

• Use of computers specifically knowledge of Excel & Word., calculator & copy machine.
