Boise, ID. This position will follow a hybrid work-from-home/office model with at least three days in the office weekly

Role Summary

This position is responsible for the successful execution of the Vessel Closeout (VCO) process. The specialist will efficiently reconcile port pairs with terminals to ensure that intended containers are loaded onto vessels with all necessary export requirements. Additionally, the role provides expertise on non-standard vessel closeout issues to both internal and external parties, researches and responds to routine and non-routine customer inquiries, and recommends solutions for specialized challenges. Responsibilities also include tracking containers within rail websites to facilitate advancing, rolling, and reducing shipments, and submitting reports to US Customs. The incumbent will track and trace shipper documentation required for vessel loading, collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and Commercial teams, and report directly to the Supervisor of Vessel Close Out, SYM.

Additional Responsibilities

Strong knowledge of reefer, Dangerous Goods (DG), breakbulk shipments, and over-dimensional cargo

Familiarity with export rail processes and procedures

Solid understanding of U.S. Customs requirements and compliance

Strong data-driven analytical and problem-solving skills
