Job summary

Ocean Network Express North America is seeking a Marketing and Yield Analyst to execute front-line pricing strategies, monitor performance, and support rate management across NA markets. You will work with the Export Marketing team to align pricing with business plans and customer needs.

The role requires strong analytical skills, ability to react quickly to market changes, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Strategize and negotiate rates in coordination with Supervisor and/or Manager and Strategic Yield Management including exemptions and deviations targeted at meeting business plan goals.
• Report to Supervisor and/or Manager any deviations from the standard conditions; coordinate with relevant teams to make sure rate offer reflects the cost factor involved.
• Support Supervisor and/or Manager in providing marketing reports related to customers when setting up target accounts and departmental goals.
• May attend face-to-face negotiation meeting with customer as necessary as directed by Supervisor and/or Manager.
• Operational support and facilitation; along with Marketing Analysts provide support and assistance for setting up award/nomination for internal purpose to align with account allocation file and monitor actual lifting against the given award/nomination or account allocation per port-pair or per service lane.
• Monitor, measure, and take corrective action on pricing results to improve the assigned region’s account performance. This requires communication of corrective action to the NA Sales staff when necessary.
• Monitor and act to eliminate negative margin cargo.
• Assist to manage/maintain tools including cost table and transit time table and develop those tools for betterment/efficiency.
• Proven abilities in fundamentals statistics and mathematical analysis.

Role Summary

Required Minimum Years Experience

2+ industry experience and/or 1+ function related experience preferred

ONE NA follows a hybrid work schedule requiring employees to work 3 days in the office (i.e. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 2 days remote each week.

Salary commensurate with experience means your pay will be directly proportional to your background, skills, and qualifications.
